This project is read-only.

How To Use

Just copy the files to a directory on your device, and then run the ImapPusherService.exe.
At the moment you need to run this each time you want to start the service (usually after a soft reset).

You will be presented with a dialog to enter some information to connect:
Username - the username to use to authenticate to the IMAP server
Password - the password to user to authenticate to the IMAP server
Server - the imap server to connect to
Port - the port for the imap server
Refresh - How often we should reset the IDLE command (this needs to be tuned so that the imap server doesn't disconnect the client for inactivity)
(9 minutes seems to work well for Gmail)
Box Name - the name of the account in Pocket Outlook that should be refreshed when the notifications come from the server.
Tracing - enable this only if you are having a problem with the service. And then email me the captured log.
Save Settings - enable this if you want to save your settings. This is less secure, however, as it requires saving your password to your phone.
If you use this setting, remember to reset your mail password if you lose your phone, or if it is otherwise compromised. The password is
stored as an encrypted value, but as this is an open source program, that encryption would not stand up to a concentrated attack. Use this
setting at your own risk.

The program currently only supports basic authentication over SSL (the only mechanism Gmail supports)
This client will not work with servers that require a different authentication mechanism.

Program requires Windows Mobile 5 currently (and may not work for smartphone, at the moment, hasn't been tested)

If you are having trouble

Please turn on tracing and email me the log. You can get to my email address through the profile area.

love the app. I would like to echo the comment above... I would also like to know how to change the settings once they are already entered.

How can I change the settings once they are entered? Where is the settings file or the registry entry?
